Costa Blanca Challenge 2018

Costa Blanca Challenge

At Masia La Mota we have been very clear for a long time that we are an ideal destination for motorbike lovers, and as our friend, journalist and editor of Motoviajeros, Quique Arenas, told us We are located in a very unknown destination in the world of motorcycling, despite the fact that there is a great love of motorcycling in the Valencian Community, not even one of the stages of the world motorbike Grand Prix every year, we are the ugly duckling, this will change thanks to people like Quique Arenas who have come and have seen that in Alicante Interior you can see and travel through landscapes of great beauty on a motorbike.

We know that there are destinations that are the dream of many motorcyclists and yes, there are the Pyrenees, the Alps, Morocco, the North Pole and I am sure that many of you have either been there or are planning to go there on one of your holidays.

In the charming Hotel Masia La Mota what we are offering you is an accommodation located in an old country house with more than 250 years of history in which its owners Indira and Edgar have wanted to create an ideal place to share with guests their beautiful house and therefore the rural and mountain environment that surrounds it, in addition to eating very well.

This year this Panamanian couple, who attend to the tourist with hospitality, affection and good work, gave great support to the first edition of the Costa Blanca Challenge. The race is an event in which the most important thing is to participate and ride the 200 and 400 kilometres between the mountains of Alicante and the Mediterranean Sea. Almost 200 participants were able to enjoy a route in which every detail was thought of, so the race began at dawn in the city of Alcoy and took them along roads ideal for motorcycling through landscapes full of contrasts to finish with an image of a beautiful sunset on the Costa Blanca bathed by the Mediterranean Sea.

It was very gratifying to be able to accommodate in our hotel a group of bikers coming from different parts of Spain, including Quique Arenas and the members of Ubricar.

At our hotel, breakfast was prepared for them on Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m. and then in the evening they were served a dinner based on local dishes and seasonal ingredients.

During the after-dinner conversation, it was commented on how well organised the Costa Blanca Challenge event was by its promoter, Luis Miguel Verdú, and all those who collaborated in the promotion of the event. Alicante Inland Tourism Association and the Costa Blanca Tourist Board and the Comunidad Valenciana as well as the club Ruralka Hotels who have created Ruralka On The Roada website dedicated to motorbike tourism throughout the country.

We share the link of the publication about the Costa Blanca Challenge by our friend Quique Arenas in his magazine Motoviajeros with video included.
