That is why on the 7th of May at 7 p.m. in the Calderón Theatre of this city, once again the Asociación Amigos de La Música de Alcoy wants to offer an intimate concert to the public of Alcoy and its visitors.
We will have the honour of seeing in concert
María José Montiel, Mezzo-soprano with a fantastic repertoire in which tribute is paid to the extraordinary career of the Spanish mezzo-soprano Teresa Berganza.
María José Montiel was born in Madrid and is the winner of the 2015 National Music Prize.
Tereza Berganza will receive a warm tribute for her brilliant career, the Asociación Amigos de La Música de Alcoy will present her with the Medalla de Honor Al Mérito Artístico (Medal of Honour for Artistic Merit).
Tereza Berganza has performed in the world’s leading theatres and has collaborated with the greatest conductors and the most exquisite casts.
She has received numerous accolades and awards such as the Prince of Asturias Award for the Arts (1991).

The music will be provided by the Orquesta de Valencia, on this occasion the concert will be conducted by Jordi Bernàcer from Alcoy.
