What are we talking about when we identify Masía la Mota as a sustainable hotel?
It is said of all those who are today taking appropriate measures to meet the requirements of environmental sustainability.
An establishment can be called sustainable when its design and management is based on economic, environmental, social and cultural principles, always respecting the environment and its biodiversity within a framework of permanent ethics and contributing to improving the quality of life of all humanity, both present and future.
This is a premise that the Charming Hotel Masía la Mota has taken into account from the beginning and that continues and improves day by day.

Masía la Mota, a benchmark in environmental sustainability.
Some of the measures we put in place that help us to contribute in some way to respect for the environment are:
- Continuous training for employees on environmental awareness and respect.
- The water that supplies us comes from our own spring and is regularly analysed with excellent results.
- The farm has its own full oxidation wastewater treatment plant.
- The heating in our establishment is supplied by gas and not by oil, which is more harmful to the environment.
- Optimisation of the management control of the air-conditioning system by means of hourly programming, reducing its operation by more than 50%.
- The sanitisation of the rooms is carried out by means of an ozone cannon, thus avoiding further energy loss.
- Placement of litter bins to avoid dumping in the toilet, in addition to the hotel's own internal bins, differentiating between glass, plastic, organic and paper/cardboard.
- We take care of depositing the hotel waste in the corresponding containers in Alcoy.
- Use of environmentally friendly insecticides and disinfectants.
- Rainwater collection system, normally collected in winter and used to irrigate our gardens and plants throughout the year.
- We are a smoke-free hotel, as it pollutes the air, other people and the furniture of our hotel. That is why we have set up outdoor areas for this use, with ashtrays for cleanly depositing cigarette butts.
- Replacement of low-energy bulbs with LED technology bulbs.
- Implementation of double-glazed windows throughout the establishment and insulated walls and roofs for better energy efficiency.
- Towel and bed linen reuse programme.
- When we organise picnics for our guests, we offer a free backpack service for them to deposit the waste they generate during their excursion and bring it back to the hotel to be recycled.
