At Masia La Mota we like to share with our guests the culture and traditions of our area and our city. In Alcoy there is a lot of cultural heritage in all the arts and one of the most important is and has been music.
Spain is known worldwide for its guitar music, and since the 17th century it has been a favourite in royal salons.
In our area, in the municipality of Muro de Alcoy, we have the internationally renowned Spanish guitar manufacturer, Manufacturas Alhambra.
If you are visiting our area we can organise a visit to the factory to show you the process.
A lot has to do in the development of a person the environment that surrounds him and the influence of his family, in this case we are talking about Ignacio Palmer, Nacho as his friends call him.
Nacho was born in the city of Alcoy, Alicante, on 22 August 1980, the grandson of one of the most famous guitarists of the Valencian Community, José Luis González.
José Luis González began his career at the age of 14 when he gave a concert with the Harmonica Alcoyana in the Círculo Industrial de Alcoy, one of the most emblematic places in our city. From there much can be said about this great master who leaves us as a legacy to many other guitarists in distant countries as well as in his own hometown where guitarists from the United States, Japan, England, Germany, Australia came to learn from the great master.
Since he was a child, Nacho was in contact with all this environment and with his beloved and admired grandfather, which motivated his curiosity and desire to play the guitar. At the age of 14 and under the guidance of his grandfather and some of his students, Nacho began to play the Spanish guitar, he has a preference for Latin American and Spanish music and does it for the pleasure of playing, he is not a professional musician although he is invited to concerts in different stages, and we have been able to see him several times at benefit concerts.
There is no doubt that his passion has led him to constantly cultivate his talent for playing the guitar, which is why we can enjoy some of his songs, recently he has also been playing the flamenco guitar.
Masia La Mota is pleased to invite you once again to enjoy a selection of pieces performed on the guitar and to taste our tapas menu, accompanied by a drink on the 1st of February.
