On Sunday 20th June the third charity market was held at Masia La Mota, making it an ideal alternative to spend a Sunday in one of the most privileged places in the interior of Alicante, the Font Roja Natural Park. Masia La Mota is one of the most emblematic places in this area due to its location and its well-kept exteriors.
This initiative is the brainchild of the manager of the charming Hotel Masia La Mota, Indira Amaya de Ameglio, an enterprising woman wherever there is one, who from the outset thought it was a good opportunity to give small businesses and producers the chance to showcase their products and solidarity.
Many people came to enjoy a day where Solidarity takes precedence because the symbolic donation of €1 is requested as a donation to access the Masia La Mota street market, which goes to a non-profit association, on this occasion it was for the Coratge Association, which was created to support people who have suffered acquired brain damage.
The Masia La Mota flea market could be reached on foot or by bicycle from the Via Verde de Alcoy or by car from the Carretera Font Roja at km 5.
The temperatures and the good weather accompanied the whole day in which hundreds of people were able to enjoy a typical Valencian lunch or a plate of rice. The family business located in Alcoy El Secreto Ibérico whetted the appetite of many by offering the typical Black and White sandwich (Blanc i Negre) a sandwich made with grilled sausage (white) and onion black pudding (black).

At the Masia La Mota market a wide variety of products were on sale, from hats, baskets, home-grown honey, handmade soaps, preserves such as the famous Pericana de Muro and pickles and typical products of Aceitunas La Huerta, natural wines, craft beers and of course the well-known and award-winning Masia La Mota Extra Virgin Olive Oil, home-grown.
At the end of the afternoon there was a snack of fartons, lemon water and horchata from the famous company Los Jijonencos de Alcoy.
Those attending the event are already starting to ask when the next one will be held, to which Indira Amaya responds with determination, for autumn.
