Who is Randy Greer?
There is little more to add about the musical career of the Rady Greer Quintet to all that has been published about this American-born artist.
But for those who don’t know, Randy Greer is considered one of the few heirs to the vocal style of the inimitable Nat King Cole, according to those who know him and whom Randy acknowledges as his greatest influence, along with Cab Calloway, Billy Erkstine and others.
Randy Greer, gifted with an exceptional voice, was born into a family of musicians, his grandfather was the drummer Duke Ellington, Sonny Greer, so music has been a part of him. Educated at the prestigious private Berklee College of Music, Boston – amazing right? This university was founded in 1945 and is the largest private university in the world. It is well known for the study of jazz and modern American music. For us, what is really extraordinary is that on July 25th we can enjoy this musical quality in the gardens of the charming Hotel Masia La Mota, located in a place of special beauty. Just imagining the sunset with this musical atmosphere gives us goose bumps, I must admit that we feel privileged to be able to have musicians of this level in our home.
